This funding is going towards reinventing the 1840 lens created by Josef Petzval, a joint partnership between Lomography and Zenit. This lens is known for its lovely swirly bokeh, sharp focus, and artful vignettes.

Info:

use on Canon EF or Nikon F mount

maximum aperture f/2.2

focal length: 85mm

closest focusing distance: 1m

You can read more about Josef Petzval here at historiccamera.com.
Also stop by Lomography's microsite dedicated to info on this incredible lens.

You can donate any amount to this venture. If you donate $500 or more, you'll get your very own lens, engraved and with a serial number of under $200.
