steve_mareno1
I got this camera in a package deal w/ another camera that I wanted, and I can't find any info on it to speak of. There is nothing here in the archives, and flickr has only one photo, and it's of the camera itself, no sample photos. My camera has a Terionar 75 3.5 lens (which I'm hoping is the Japanese version of a Zeiss Triotar) and a Fujikogaku shutter that runs from T-B-to 1/200. There is no body covering on the camera, the shutter works but is sluggish, there is no focus screen, and the mirror is shot. In short, it's quite the type of camera that appeals to me. It has a neat feature....the shutter release is on the left side on the front, and it's a lot easier to squeeze off a shot w/o shaking the camera. My Rolleicord requires a lot of concentration to smoothly engage the shutter, as it's release moves from side to side. I'm thinking of shooting it just like it is and simply scale focusing it, as it has a sports hood that lets you shoot it like a SLR. The lack of body coverings I am beginning to really like too. Does anyone know anything on this? Hopefully someone has used one, but that may be asking too much. Thanks.

john_shriver
I don't think this has anything to do with Tokyo Kogaku, it's certainly not mentioned in Topcon Story book.
It is from Fuji Kogaku. Rob_the_waste
Steve, you might have a piece of history in your hands. You could try and fit a mirror in, scavenge a focus screen off of some other DOA camera and patent it as a Frankenflex. You go bud.
:-P
christopher_ward2
Steve,
My 1998 McKeown's book lists 'Fuji Kogaku Seiki' for Lyraflex ,Lyraflex F and Lyraflex J cameras. With either a Teronar or Goldar lens from c.1941. They list it as 'uncommon' I hope this helped.
Chris
