I recently made a small trip to Florida and mine is an interior shot at Miami airport on my way to pick up a rental car.

00bofD-541270284.jpg.e48e0e7cdf5e3ea61614550343d4290f.jpg

What raised my interest last week? Fireworks, of course! I've got many more traditional fireworks shots,
but here's one of a few 5" shells ready to be hand-fired.

Wonderful Wednesday everyone ! Lil your water lily is stunning. Panayotis glad that Bobbie is recovered. Wonderful shots of her, love the last 2 .
I find myself with flowers and water again this week. The weather turned from heat to rain, back to heat again. First 2 are flowers in the garden kissed by light mist. The last is well me playing with bubbles again.
All D800 105mm micro . First 2 with extension tubes.
Hope you enjoy.

Storm over the ocean from the second floor balcony of a friends condo in Garden City, South Carolina. I heard no thunder and you can see stars on either side of the clouds. I did not alter or enhance the colors. The picture is pretty much what we saw.

00boi2-541276584.jpg.c20df3521101c64ffd4e6febecda7839.jpg

What caught my attention? How about an airplane crashing pretty much in my back yard? While I didn't see the crash, I ran down to SFO to check out the traffic. With runways 28L and 28R closed, we got to see takeoffs *and* landings on 19L. This is pretty unusual, especially for big jets, because it's a short runway that faces a heavily populated area. This is great for photography because you can get much, much closer to 19L than to either of the 28s.

Granted, I don't have any particularly long lenses so I got to crop everything quite heavily.

This is how close you can get to 19L/1R (it's like a petting zoo for airplane buffs):
