<p>Last weekend I went to a bird watching event. There weren't too many good birds but I did manage to capture this porcupine reclining in an apple tree.</p><div></div>

<p>Off to Western Iowa this week. Even after years on the east coast - oaks are still my favorite trees. This one stands on a loess ridge near the Missouri river. It was cool and misty (in may) and grainy BW captured the mood quite nicely.</p><div></div>

Yesterday at the park Lexie hit every pond she could and she looks like it. </p><div></div>

<p>Attending the Norwegian Championship in Freestyle/Discojazz, and apart from shooting the athletes' jumps, kicks and other poses during the high-speed dances, I this time also tried to capture some of the movements during the various dances, using long exposure. Maybe not what the dancers want to see (they prefer the frozen moments), but I kind of like this.</p><div></div>

This was the last of the ice as seen on Monday morning.</p><div></div>

<p>#2 The rapidly rising water set the neighbour's canoe adrift. I wasn't about to swim out to retrieve it since the ice only left the day before.</p><div></div>
