A good Nikon Wednesday to everyone. We've had some great postings that last few weeks, and I can't wait to see what folks come up with. Especially since the only photography I got in last week involved some industrial trailers. Woo hoo! So, how do you test a hydraulic lift in a stacking trailer? Squeeze in a 1974 Cadillac, roughly the size of Delaware, and see if you can get it up off the deck. What raised your interest last week? Share!

00bocJ-541264684.jpg.21cd97a94807507ab336032cc2f9fbd9.jpg

On the rare occasions that I've had to shoot lately, I've mainly been using some old rangefinders I bought for cheap off of eBay. But here's a quick grab I took of our dog Sweeney the Weenie, all tuckered out from playing with his favorite toy.

00bocV-541265384.jpg.c9a9eca639ee50d11013d0b6d244f5af.jpg

Hi, thought I'd join in for once. We've been so busy in the backyard working I've not had much time to do photography. But here are a few photos taken a little now & then over the last few weeks....

1. I don't often photograph other people's horses, but the Equestrian Trails Organization had a small drivingshow in the new driving arena they recently put in where I ride so I took the opportonity to go & photograph them a little. This is the highpoint winner & her horse in their last class. Shot with the D800 & the 70-200VR f/2.8 at f/7.1 @ 160 mm, 1/2000, ISO 400 -2/3EV - shutter priority

2. I found this little bug on one of my rose bushes a few weeks ago. Shot with the NIKON D300 with the Sigma 150mm Macro f/2.8 at f/8 @ 150 mm, 1/800, ISO 400 -1/3 EV handheld Aperture priority

3. We've just put in two ponds in our backyard. Here's one of our waterlilies in the large pond. I picked this specific waterlily due to it's color. It's supposed to be orange, but it's really salmon colored - so a pinkish/orange. I waited as the sun was slowly creeping in & gave the flower a spotlight. Shot with the NIKON D300 paired with the Sigma 150mm Macro f/2.8 at f/5.6 @ 150 mm, 1/1000, ISO 1000 Manual exposure handheld in the shade.

For a small town (pop=10,000), our 4th of July parade is quite good. A few of the Lexington and Concord Minutemen actually came from our town, so it's very possible that some of the Minutemen in this shot may be their descendants.

00boe0-541268184.jpg.e1f88e3f2bce58ae091ffbb2ee24b49c.jpg

Another from around the corner. We were able to get into the neighborhood because of volunteering. I just had to document some.
Looks like a closet or bath tub wouldn't always help....best place is under ground. We are saving to have a underground shelter installed....there is a waiting list.

00boeV-541268484.jpg.fb4aa9aa1537b0991df6fd43b80e6e03.jpg

Hello everyone! How's your week up to now?...My 9 years old dog, Bobbie, has fully recovered from a serious attack by a bull-terrier a few months ago. I am really grateful that she she is the "Old Bobbie" that we knew! She loves coming with us to the beach, take a swim and do some crazy stuff on the sand :)) Take care my friends!

00boej-541269084.jpg.f377522878353124bfda88a2a58ed217.jpg
