james_riverhood
Hi All,
I'd like to go to Marocco and to take documentary type of photographs. Searching on the web I stumbled upon this offer: http://www.thevisualexperience.org/web/photography-workshop-photo-travel-marrakech-1-5-april-2012/
Do you know the website? Looks like they are an interesting group of photographers but I wonder if anybody here has some feedback on their offering or already took a workshop.
James
monika_epsefass
It sounds very interesting, but from experience, I find Morocco to be a country extremely adverse to people and "critical documentary context" photography. People don't like to be taken in pictures, and it's a very delicate issue. Nevertheless, Marrakech can be highly rewarding to photographers.
If you feel like doing this, go for it but please let's all have your feedback afterwards.
ionpaciu
I agree with Monika, Morocco is a photographer paradise but the local culture not really ideal for taking photographs. From this point of view it can be a waste of time
I would rather go on my own taking pictures then in a organised group.
