Free plug for Steve Sweringen

<p>If anyone on here needs anything FD worked on or wants to buy anything Canon FD, I have to recommend Mr. Sweringen. His rates are good and his work is excellent. Of all the technicians I've had to send things to, he is one of a very few who got everything right the first time. I've bought two bodies from him - a T90 about 3 years ago and an AE-1 Program recently - and took both to Vietnam for 2 weeks. Both performed flawlessly. He also worked on a number of my lenses and got those working perfectly and synchronized properly at infinity as well.</p>

<p>In addition to some T90 work, he also did some EOS repairs for me. Excellent job in all respects, good prices and quick turnaround.</p>

<p>I have a T90 that went into shutter (blinking arrow mode) failure. Tried whacking it a good one, but it only came back temporarily... :(</p>

<p>Has anybody had luck with getting these fixed? I love the camera, but I don't want to spend much on it if the repair doesn't "take".</p>

<p>Athough its been quite a few years, Steve did some work for me and I was really satisfied. When I got my first Canon DSLR, I intended to use my T90 alongside the digital one. But I got hooked on the digital and the T90 sat unused for about six months. I wanted to take some wde shots using my Vivitar 17mm on the T90, but it only went through part of a roll before I got the EEEEE error message. Inquired around and found the shutter needed to be exercised regularly or the magnets in it would deteriorate. Sent the camera to Steve and he replaced the shutter and I was able to then get a decent price when I sold the T90. He also replaced the shoe on a Canon flash for me, all in a good time and price. Just lucky I haven't needed his services since.</p>

<p>Bought a T90 from a few months ago. It's so clean! He went through everything and made sure it was working right before putting it up for sale. He took the time to talk to me by phone for at least a half hour when I was contemplating the purchase. He also told me about a colleague of his who is working on a special FD project. Steve is Mr. Canon T90!</p>
