John Seaman
I went to a camera fair today, arranged by the Photographic Collectors Club of Great Britain. One table had a collection of stuff that looked interesting, when I asked him how much, he said three pounds each, or two for £5. Well I picked up – all for the princely sum of £22.50:

A Minolta SRT303, a Pentax ME Super and a Spotmatic (bodies only)

A Minolta 35-135 MF lens

A Nikon SB15 Speedlight with case

An Agfa Isolette 2 folder with Apotar lens

A Zeiss Ikon Nettar 6x6 folder (with film in)

as well as Minolta 7000i and 3000i bodies

Everything seems to be working except the Minolta AF bodies, which don't AF for some reason, and the ME Super which seems to have only one speed. Heigh-ho.

In a separate deal I traded my OM1 (I had two) for a Yashica C TLR which has a number of issues, which I will try and do a post on if I can get it working.

Now where's my black knitting wool, for replacing the light seals?

Member69643
What a nice collection! Sad that so many film cameras go for so little now...
rick_drawbridge
Highway robbery, nothing less...Great haul, John, they're a very tidy-looking bunch. The Isolette and the Nettar, particularly, provoke twinges of envy...
ralf_j.
Very nice. Worth at least 10 times much in eBay prices.

Mike Gammill
If that's the Minolta 35-135 f3.5-4.5 that is an excellent lens. I've had one since 1983 or so it still performs.
tony_lockerbie
What a lot of hardware for so little money! You will be surprised at the quality that those two simple folders can provide.
The Zeiss shoud be all good, but the bellows are the Achilles heel of the Isolette, usually full of pinholes...easily replaced though to give an excellent shooter...enjoy!
tom_cheshire
The Pentax ME Super has a dirty contact under the on/off dial. Clean it and it will work.

john_golden2
Amazing!! what a deal for all those cameras. I used to have a yashica C a while back, interesting thing about those lenses, if you shoot wide open you get background swirl or at least mine did
John Seaman
Thanks to all for the comments.

Problem is, I went to the fair with a few cameras to sell, planning to thin out my collection. In the end I came back with twice as many as I took.

Yes Mike it's the 35-135 f3.5-4.5. I guess the same optics as the Early AF lens of the same range, which has a very good reputation.

Tony I've used similar folders before, I know how good the results can be. Tom, thanks for the advice, I'll try and clean these contacts on the ME Super when I get a minute. John the shutter on the Yashica is gummed up. and the hood has taken a bit of a whack as you can probably see in the picture. I'm hoping to get it usable and post results.

By the way I went back to the stall later to but a few more things, and the guy who was charging three pounds had gone. Another dealer had taken over and wanted thirty quid for three more things. I passed.

Again thanks for the comments.

John Seaman
George a"quid" is a slang term for a UK Pound, like calling a dollar a "buck".
