Nikon Announces a New DSLR and 2 New NIKKOR Lenses at CES 2015

<p>On Monday, January 5, 2015, the eve of CES (the Consumer Electronics Show), <a href="http://www.nikonusa.com">Nikon Inc.</a> announced several new products including a lightweight entry-level DSLR camera and 2 NIKKOR lenses.</p>

The new Nikon D5500 is a compact and lightweight DSLR. Its key features include built-in Wi-Fi, a vari-angle, touchscreen and touch-to-focus LCD display, a 24.2 MP CMOS sensor, and HD video capture.<br>

The D5500 will be available in early February in black and red for $899.95 (body only) and in 2 different kit options:</p>

<li>With AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II: $999.95</li>

<li>With AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR: $1,199.95</li>

The new NIKKOR 55-200mm zoom lens is a great add-on lens and pairs perfectly with Nikon’s AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II kit lens, letting DX-format photographers go from wide-angle to telephoto easily. It is compact and lightweight with a retractable barrel design.<br>

The NIKKOR 55-200mm zoom lens will be available in early February for $349.95.</p>

The new NIKKOR 300mm full-frame fixed focal length AF telephoto lens uses Phase Fresnel technology to help correct chromatic aberration and reduce the lens' weight by 1.5 pounds and length by 3 inches.<br>

The NIKKOR 300mm telephoto lens will be available in early February for $1,999.95.</p>
