tony_leinster
If you have a recent camera you may have to update Lightroom to recognise your RAW files, I know it sounds stupid but sometimes the demo is more advanced than what you get when you buy!
simon_hickie1
Have you got the latest Adobe Camera Raw converter installed?
howard_m
the OP doesn't need standalone Camera Raw; LR comes w/ it's own built-in copy/version.

Go to adobe.com and download the latest version (4.2? 4.3?) and that should restore any 'can't read this particular camera's raw format' issue.
keith reeder
Which camera, Irvin? And which version of Lightroom?

(And as Howard says, it doesn't matter at all which version of Adobe Camera Raw - if any - you have on your machine).

I know it sounds stupid but sometimes the demo is more advanced than what you get when you buy!

Not possible unless you go out of your way to download and use versions out of sequence - it's always completely clear which version you're using.
mark_sirota1
Did you install the "hard copy" when you received it, or just register the serial number with the demo version you already had? That's all you had to do. Perhaps you installed an older version on top of a newer version. As others have said, just download the latest from Adobe (same place you got the demo) and then register the serial number from your package.
dan_south
You didn't need to install the copy on the disc. It was probably an older version. Download the latest version from adobe's website.
