Larry_G1664882113
I just purchased a D7000 and find the User Manual to be thorough, but insufficient. Do you have suggestions of a guide - paper or online - that addresses the menu settings in a way that will help me understand what settings I want to choose for landscape work? Thanks. ShunCheung
According to this thread: http://www.photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00b2mj
you have been using a D80. If you are already familiar with that, I don't think you need another guide for the D7000. The AF system is more complicated and there is video, but you should be familiar with most of the D7000 already.
Hector Javkin
I like Thom Hogan's guides very much. Here is the one for the D7000. I have it and it has proved very useful
Ray House
How about the DigiTutor on the Nikon site?

diane_madura
I prefer David Busch's guide to Thom Hogan's. I've used both. I like that David Busch's guide is an actual book. He also has a pocket field guide. Both are excellent.
http://www.amazon.com/David-Buschs-Nikon-Digital-Photography/dp/1435459423/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1357835661&sr=8-1&keywords=nikon+d7000+guide
http://www.amazon.com/David-Buschs-Compact-Field-Guide/dp/1435459989/ref=pd_sim_b_1
stephen_worth
I have Ken Rockwell's iPhone app guide on my phone. It's the best of all, because it's always in your shirt pocket
duane_creviston
I bought a "Jon Sparks" guide book when I bought my D7000 from Camera Mart. I prefer the "Magic Lantern", as I have had them for all my other Nikons going back to 35mm. Camera Mart was out of them, thus the"Jon Sparks" guide. I did subsequently buy the "Magic Lantern" and take it with me on trips. It is enormously helpful.
Duane
