[Q] Caltar 210 mm lens servicing

I need to service Caltar II N f 5.6 lens (some aperture blades came off, shutter is fine)<br>

<br />Are there folks specializing in servicing these lenses ( North Carolina is preferred by any place that can takes in mail is fine) ?</p>

<p>I would heartily suggest Carol Miller at Flototscamerarepair.com. She's all the way across country in Whittier, Ca., but she is incredible on large format shutter repair and quite reasonable on her prices. She often has a waiting list, so be sure to contact her before shipping. She is awesome.</p>

<p>I would offer to CLA it but with aperture blades off you most likely need a new shutter. Aperture blades are pinned at each end with one end braded in and when a pin breaks its a parts shutter.<br>

<p>One thing to keep in mind is that the lens sells for around $175 on the used market, and you could probably get $50-75 for the cells alone. Economically it might make sense to replace it rather than repair, depending on the extent of repairs needed.</p>
