stemked
<p>I have always been fond of B&H, and that's why I'm a bit puzzled with a recent order. I've ordered binoculars (Pentax) that says "usually ships 7-14 days", well it's already been 16 days and the order is still 'pending'. By that I suspect they are waiting to get the shipment in from Japan. I do have other order options that I know will get the items faster but I have a multi-item order with B&H and regardless would rather do it from them because of past positive experiences with the company. I was just wondering what experiences other persons have had with items back-ordered from B&H with this type of flexible date.<br>Many thanks.<br>Doug</p><p> </p>
SCL
<p>Doug - I'd give them a phone call, that usually gets things cleared up pretty quickly.</p>
Hector Javkin
<p>Either call B&H, or write to Henry Posner, a photo.net member who represents B&H. He'll do anything he can to take care of us photo.netters and B&H. You can find him in the photo.net member directory (<a href="../community/directory"><strong>link</strong></a>).</p>
henryp
<p>The note "usually ships 7-14 days" means we have to get them from Pentax. If Pentax USA is shipping them to us from their US warehouse the time should be within that estimate. If Pentax USA is waiting on a delivery t them from overseas the time could be longer, hence the "usually."</p> <p>FWIW our web page for this item also advised, "<em>This is a special order item. Est. arrival at B&H is 7-14 business days (subject to availability). Your order will be charged at the time of shipment.</em>" Also today is the 12th business day since we received your order.</p> <p>We WILL ship thees to you as soon as we receive them form Pentax. Feel free to use <a href="mailto:henryp@bhphoto.com">henryp[at]bhphoto.com</a> to follow up.</p> <p>Henry Posner<br /><strong>B&H Photo-Video</strong></p> Henry Posner B&H Photo-Video

Ed_Ingold
B&H is always up front with their inventory status. Everything is a little slower out the door than before, especially for out of stock items. On the happy side, most of the things I've ordered recently arrived ahead of schedule. You may have the option, in a multi-item order, to have the in-stock items shipped immediately rather than wait for the back-ordered item. Some companies will tell you they have something in stock when they don't. By the time you get it, B&H will have it as well. Others may be ahead of you in line for a new, popular item (e.g., Sony 200-600 zoom), but once the item ships, your wait is often less than 2 weeks. Sandy Vongries
This was revived by a spammer selling a product - spammer was removed. Nothing to do with B&H.
JDMvW
Sandy, I appreciate your correcting these "aberrancies" and especially like that you are posting what you have done.
