sketch_tbhotmail.com
I haven't posted on photo.net for a while, as a matter of fact I haven't picked up my camera for what feels like a couple months. My wife's 38 weeks pregnant and we have a 2 1/2 year old vying for our attention at all times. Anyway, I decided to combine my two hobbies this week, what do you think?

pj_vesterback
A few weeks back, we went to the Great Woods Music Festival in Beausejour, MB. It was an awesome weekend. One of the highlights was the crazy show that the Shuffle Demons gave us on Friday night. This is my favourite shot from the weekend.

Pentax K-5, smc PENTAX-DA*50-135mmF2.8ED[iF]SDM, 1/60s, f/2.8, ISO 3200

<a title="Shuffle Demon by Fnawzm, on Flickr" href=" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8303/7897910636_dac276bfa3_o.jpg" alt="Shuffle Demon" width="424" height="640" />
Shuffle Demon

shots worth sharing
Those really did make me smile, Howard ;~)
I'm still after the birds but being still and letting them get close is really hard. This is a 100% crop from the K-5 Sigma 500/4.5 & 1.4x TC

Grabbed this opportunity with the A*135/1.8

This one's for Doug: a contrived (through the use of Liquid Nails glue) meditation on mimicry. I noticed that tulip-Poplar leaf fluttering on the sidewalk last night. My guess is that the swallow-tails have moved on from "Pay no attention, I'm just a leaf" to "Hey, look at me--I taste horrible!"

stemked
Hi All.

Love the composition in that one Markus.

Thanks for thinking about me Dave.

We are suffering some of Isac's furry today. I was supposed to go camping with some friends, instead it was a few hikes in Shades State Park near the Illinois border. Not much in the way of birds, and besides I really didn't want to pull out any long lenses in the on and off storms. The good thing is the end of our summer drought has brought a profusion of mushrooms. I haven't figured out any of these yet. All taken with a 100mm DA macro with the K7.

and another

and

Lots more (some more interesting actually), but its late, too much driving tonight.
stemked
Ryan, Great lighting on your portrait there with your craft. Looks like you are the master of two hobbies. Don't leave that camera alone TOO long.

ian_mcmillan
Well, I'm still working on being consistent with an image each week for this thread. Unfortunately, I'm not getting out to take too many pics, so I have to post some from earlier in the year. This one was taken at the Skagit Valley Tulip fest in April.

K5, with Tamron 28-75
