What did you shoot weekend of Oct 6 -7?

Great shot, Keith. I've shot a lot of those, and would be very happy with that result. We ended up at the Virginia herding dog trials, which easily qualifies as a sport after seeing how much training and teamwork it takes between handler and dog. It was quite tough to shoot as it turned out, and I'm quite happy with this representative shot.

00atxm-498939784.jpg.7f153b1245a50a67a922e9f329b449a4.jpg

Thanks David - got to be honest, I wasn't exactly disappointed by how my day (pun intended) panned out.

I need to sort out my PP though - too used to shooting birds, so I haven't yet arrived at a "look" I'm happy with for the cars (and I'm still not used to how much more saturated images are when I use my Sigma 120-300mm f/28 OS are compared to my 100-400mm).

Love the sheepdog - it wouldn't occur to me to shoot that sort of thing, but hmmm..!

Thanks Keith. I was so kicking myself for not taking the 100-400 - what was I thinking? I would also know a little more about where to stand and what to watch for next time.

Although I love doing the "frozen blur" look which you present in your auto race photo, I've been experimenting with images that show a little more about speed and the feel of the race. Its all part of an evolution to present how racing feels when you're at the track. Good luck on finding that favorite approach for yourself.

And Sergio, that's a very nice action shot that you've got of that young player. Good job.
