This is one I took just for playing around with. I will say that as it gets larger it does look better at least to me.
I cropped this from a Pano that was also an HDR and then used some PP on it with the oil paint filter on CS6.
Taken with my Nikon D90 and a 70-200 Sigma lens on a tripod.

My attention was drawn to this boat by another snapper who must have taken several dozen shots of the back of it looking out to sea. For the life of me I couldn't see the attraction of that angle, so here's my take on it (top).

The Nanchong (502), being towed Aug. 16 from the Qingdao Naval Museum to be scrapped. The ship played a key role in the March 1988 clash with Vietnam over Johnson Reef in the Spratly Islands. Not a technically or aesthetically brilliant picture, the haze was rather thick, but a bit of history caught.

00anB0-495077584.jpg.6cb22a179db2227b1c3d51b90d5612d7.jpg

Love seeing more shots from everyone!
Last week was spent dealing with Hurricane Isaac . Fortunately loss of a few bushes /small trees and no power for 6 days were all we had to experience.
So, my shots are
1. The only way to deal with the hurricane and no electricity - wine and a flashlight
2. A very wet and disoriented juvenile white ibis who ended up in my yard.

Benjamin - your three photos of Whitney are amazing, and my favorite sequence today, so far! My son-in-law and I took a little Labor Day drive to Lime Kiln Park, in Grafton, WI. I was glad for a few wispy high clouds that moved into this afternoon shot.

00anBy-495095584.jpg.ec31f3d5784312ef398386dc42eccc0e.jpg
