Hope everyone is Ok after Sandy. She barely touch mid-Maine (one of the advantages of living up here). Hardly anyone lost power, up here people were better off than most East coasters. Nice showing off the D3200 capabilities, Matt, happy for you the video stayed just "boring".... and did not get horrific.

Prior to a portraits session on Sunday we "horsed" around a bit. Zach was laying up a few hoops and I shot with D800 (freshly back from Nikon), a pano head and the 14-24. This is a composite of 12 shots (larger version can be found here). Not all shots were in focus, which is operator error and NOT a D800 focus issue :)

00ayty-501719584.jpg.0d1802289ef3506c3ea81d5710ffa324.jpg

Greetings from the depths of northern Ontario.
Sandy has touched us here. It's been windy and raining since Sunday night's snow. Harry is not enthusiastic about this weather. He's passing the time practising the fine art of nose painting on the window. At least he can stay dry doing that (not so much for the window).

00aytz-501719684.jpg.1d65f3dba3b06aa823803298b77f1e9f.jpg

Damage was minimal here in central Connecticut. Lots of wind and cool clouds. Didn't lose any trees: they all went during last year's storms. As you can see, nobody lost power either. Around 8:40 the rain stopped and the full moon came out for a while. Time to take the camera to the backyard...

00ayu1-501721584.jpg.553163df8024accd7fa2fa582d6ea23b.jpg

Happy Wednesday and Halloween! Some really wonderful photos today, including Matt's video. Glad those of you posting from Sandy's path have been mostly unscathed, and hoping the rest will recover quickly.

The weather here has been wonderful, so headed back to South Padre Island, TX again this past weekend. Here are two photos for the Halloween theme...one man made and the other a Reddish Egret's funny behavior. (D7000/70-300mm VR and D7000/500mm f/4)

Good Morning to all Nikonians ... all my thoughts and prayers go out to the people on the East Coast as they work themselves through this major disaster. Hopefully calm will prevail for them in coming days.
My shots today were taken in Land Between the Lake here in Western Kentucky. There is an Elk and Bison Prairie there that we visit often.
I used my Nikon D90 with a Sigma 70-200 with 2x extender on for these shots. I used the window sill of car with a small blanket for support as one is not allowed to get out of the car.
Thank you for viewing.
