POTW 10/07-2012

<p>I'm in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware (one of my favorite spots in the world) for a couple weeks. Here's a shot of the sunrise a couple days ago, shot with the K-5 & 18-135 lens.</p><div></div>

Here's my submission for the week, I found this wasp asleep out in my garden yesterday so I broke out my K20, rokinon

135 f2.8, extension tubes and flash/umbrella... Oh, and a +4 diopter for the headshot.<div></div>

<p>The fall colors were peak last weekend in the northeast. We hiked a mountain in northern Vermont, Camels Hump.</p>

<p>#1 On the way up... Tripping through the lightbeams.</p><div></div>

<p>#2 Lots of orange in this view from the summit. Lots of haze and fog also. Thought I was back in Colorado with the haze from western forest fires.</p><div></div>

<p># 3 We slid down the backside to avoid the 60 or so 5th graders we hiked up the trail with. They were a little loud, but it was good to see young kids getting outdoors and getting excercise.<br>

<p>That last image is pretty spectacular, looks like one would expect the emergence of a deity out of that light. </p>

<p>Thanks Doug. When I saw the lightbeam, I said better hurry up cause sometimes weather effects can change pretty rapidly and it's gone.</p>
