Yosemite Private Photo Workshop

<p>I am planning a trip to Yosemite and wanted to take a photography workshop and have not found anything available when I will be there. I have found some people who offer private or semi-private day workshops. I was wondering if anyone has taken a tour like this in Yosemite and if they can recommend someone specific. </p>

Have you signed up for any of the SMUG groups in your area that you live, we get a social map (By Email ) of all the schools and

seminars that are happening across the U.S. I vaguely remember seeing some seminars based on your future event you are going too,

and most of them are vey affordable. hope that helps, if you need a link or something I can help,or ask around,to the folks here who make

the big bucks and maybe get more info for you.

I would recommend contacting the Ansel Adams gallery in the park. They offer (or at least used to) private workshops with staff

photographers. I did this a few years ago, and it was a wonderful full-day experience.

<p>My friend Michael Frye ("Mr. Yosemite" when it comes to knowledge of photographing in the park) does various workshops including for individuals. If you contact him, let him know I mentioned him. (No, I don't get a commission! He's just a good guy. ;-)</p>

I'd like to make some recommendations, but I'm not clear on whether you just want a guide or if you have specific goals in mind for your photography. Is there something in particular you'd like to learn? Are you interested in someone who will simply show you how, when, and where to shoot the iconic scenes, or are you looking for someone who knows Yosemite well but who can teach you something about original creative vision?<br>

Either way, you'll have a wonderful time in Yosemite. It's a phenomenal place.<br>
