brian_wallace5
I'm not normally much for bird pictures (I appreciate, but I don't tend to take them) but this one was too good. My neighbor is an avid hunter and left last night to go turkey hunting. Looks like he should have stayed home as this fella rolled through our yards this morning and right up onto his deck. I grabbed my 5D II (too bad I loaned out my 7D), 2x extender, and 70-200mm lens and off I went.
Technical: 5D Mk II, Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 OS HSM + Canon 2x Mk II Extender, ISO 1600, 400mm, f/8, 1/250th, Cloudy White Balance)

Andrew Gosden
There are lots of good photos this week, as usual. This is a maple seed (helicopter as my kids call them) starting to break down. I thought the pattern was interesting on the dark mulch. I also was practicing using the 10x live view to manually focus. I can see where the better LCD on the T_i Rebel series would be helpful for this, along with a sturdier tripod and head.

XSi with Tamron 70-300 vc with Kenko extension tubes @ 135mm, f/18, .6s, iso 400
