Ricoh Hosts Competition Inviting Citizens to Become Photojournalists

Ricoh will be giving away 360 Ricoh Theta cameras to go along with the launch of Sherical Report 360 on the CNN website. SR360 is a fun and interactive contest which equips citizens with a free Ricoh Theta spherical camera and presents them with the unique opportunity to become a photojournalist by reporting on local news and events. </p>

<p>As part of the contest, 360 Ricoh Theta camera units will be distributed to select applicants to use to document news and happenings and then submit them to the interactive website. Interested parties should <a href="http://advertisementfeature.cnn.com/sr360">CLICK HERE</a> between March 27th and April 10th (2014) to enter to receive a Ricoh Theta camera. </p>

<p>Starting May 1st, the selected recipients will document the events surrounding them and post the images taken with the Theta to the SR360 website. A Most Valuable Photographer will be selected each month. </p>

<p>The contest will end on August 31st, 2014. Images on the SR360 website will be judged by a panel of distinguished guests. One Grand Prize winner and two Gold Prize winners will be selected. In addition, current Ricoh Theta owners are also invited to submit images for consideration. <br /><br />Award winners will be invited to a round-table discussion in September 2014 to discuss their image and accept their award. <br>
