I am looking into taking on a short course/workshop etc in California. Even a reputable art school that has strong photography courses would be good to know about . I haven't taken courses at either of them, I don't know how they handle non-students, but I have met teachers and students from both and most seem happy. The Academy seems to over-enroll students and it's hard to get into the higher demand classes. City College also offers photography classes. On the workshop side, you can probably find something <a href="http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=photography+classes&find_loc=San+Francisco%2C+CA">here</a>.
