Clandestine MINOX Snaps in Soviet POW Camp

Hi 8x11 Fans,
let me make you acquainted with a very interesting book resp. its photos, for it would be of better advantage to those who understand German to realize the whole story behind, because the author is a German ex-POW. Certainly there has never been such an unimitable and more risky adventure to take clandestine photos under the cruel and dangerous circumstances of Soviet POW camps in Siberia and to smuggle them out home. Thanks to his MINOX he managed this coup de main without being discovered, many years later he was allowed to return home and only then the films could be developed, but a good job has been done and all pictures could be saved. - Unfortunately his camera was discovered one day, and he hoaxed the innocent interrogation officer that this tiny thing is just a talisman and souvenir from home which sounds so wonderful (especially the 1/2 sec.) if the button is pressed :-))
If anyone is interested in this book, here is further info: KLAUS SASSE (author), "BILDER AUS RUSSISCHER KRIEGSGEFANGENSCHAFT", WAXMANN-VERLAG (Publishing Co.) in MUENSTER (Germany) 1999, ISSN 1435-2664, ISBN 3-89325-814-0 .
Greetings from Germany,
M. H.

At my side scrolling down is useless, for under page 184 there is only to be read Pages 185 to 279 are not shown in this preview . Maybe these pages are blocked in Germany due to Copyright violation by Google - - their copying activities were highly controversial in most countries same as the STREET VIEWing, and by the way recent news say that during their "viewing" they recorded WLAN data which could be received in plain language. - Weird concern... :-(

Mike, the blocking may not by Germany. I had in the pass reading same google "Books" material, the first time I download , I can access a lot more details. Afterward, only very little.
I suspect Google has in place a "dynamic" display procedure. If a copyrighted materials
was downloaded several times, google automatically blocks it.
