mitchell_freedman
I've been fascinated by the metro construction through Tysons Corner (Vienna) Virginia too. This one was taken earlier this month. A friend I showed it to called it MetroLego. I've read that once the project - Phase One of the Silver Line - is completed, they'll run the trains empty for a full six months, just doing safety and operational checks.

dennis_brabender
My contribution this week is Chicago's Water Tower.
As I was taking this photo a couple of African American youths came running by and said cops.
Must of been some sort of a game because the next thing you know 2 police cars and a couple of bicycle officers of the law showed up and the youths started doing disco arobics with the law providing the blue flashing lights and the youths doing their hands on your head exercises.
I didn't take a picture of that though ...I'm not really sure how the law would of enjoyed my brand of humor
taken with my Tokina 11-16 which I have since returned when they announced that there is going to be new version coming out supposedly in March....waiting

tom_serio
There's a lot of great work out in Las Vegas. Here's a shot from the top of the Rio Hotel, which is off the famous strip. In the view is the Monte Carlo and New York New York resorts. What's neat is the glass-paned strucures on the left with its reflections.
