ilya_zhavoronkov
Hello!

Can anyone please open the back of gossen and make a photo for me?
I put red circles on the parts that I need to be visible to me. Thank you guys!

here's my photo.
http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/2351/img3843t.jpg

btw.
does anyone know where I can find service manual for this light meter?
bob_sunley
P1, P2 and P5 are calibration potentiometers and the settings are likely to be different on every meter made. Looks like those three wires need to be resoldered as well.

ilya_zhavoronkov
Where I can find information about these potentiometers? I have no idea what will calibrate every of them.
And how this 3 wires should to be resoldered?
bob_sunley
You will need a service manual for calibration instructions.
From the look of the picture, they should be resoldered into their current positions.

ilya_zhavoronkov
Thank you for the information, Bob!
But google couldn't find service manual for calibration instructions for gossen.
bob_sunley
There is a good chance Gossen still repair those meters.
ilya_zhavoronkov
There're many suggestions about this light meter. And nobody can't make a photo?
rodeo_joe1
Ilya, to me the broken wires suggest a very good reason why somebody with a working meter wouldn't want to remove the back just to take a picture of it for you. It seems pretty obvious where the wires are broken out from, and it's unlikely that setting your meter's potentiometers the same as someone else's would result in your meter being accurate.
bob_sunley
I don't have one, and there are very few people that own a working one that want to take it apart. And even less who have seen your post in the last 3.5 hours.
User_3607948
Ilya,
The three wires in the enlargement look as if they have pulled away the foil from the circuit board. You may need to consult Gossen for a fix. You should ask ; it could turn out a bargin anyway but you won't know unless you ask!

Joe
richardsperry
I have one. And Joe and Bob have the answers why I am not taking it apart. When I was a kid I took electronic stuff apart. And then it didn't work anymore. That's why I eventually learned electronics, to fix what I broke. My pots are not going to be the same as yours, pots are variable resistors. If they were all the same from model to model they would just be a standard resistor. Mine works just fine. You may buy it if you like. ps, I subscribe to the Smoke Theory of electronics. All of that stuff is powered by smoke, and when you let the smoke out it doesn't work anymore. Did you perhaps let the smoke out of your meter? bob_sunley
This page has some info on various Gossen meters.

http://www.jollinger.com/photo/meters/meters/gossen_lunaprosbc.html

Also, it's not uncommon for there to be running changes in circuit boards, etc.
andrewg_ny
Fortunately the metal cover pops off the back easily on these, though it wasn't obvious to me initially (I thought the case was going to split on the side); and was about to give up when I noticed on Ilya's photo that the plastic case was still fully assembled.
bob_sunley
That's interesting, as the photo of Ilya's looks like the board is dirty in places, maybe his got wet at some point and some of the "mud" got wiped off of his.

vamorim
Gossen Profisix SBC is the european version of the Gossen Luna Pro SBC. On the biggest circle on your the picture the three wires connect the main dial pot to the circuit board.
