gej_jones
Brrrr!
The weather turned very cold for this time of year a few days ago in South Alabama, which caused me think back to August of last year. Although winter in Australia, the weather was beautiful. That is where I captured this photo.
It's from the Cunningham Pier, Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The Cunningham Pier area is a photographers paradise. So many things to photograph. A thunderstorm had just passed and you can see the aftermath in the shot.

birdied
Gorgeous shots everyone . Thanks for commenting on my photo last week.
A couple of weeks ago, I posted the monarch caterpillar and hoped to watch the metamorphosis. I did not find the chrysalis early enough to watch the entire process.
I missed the actual emergence, but did get a shot of the newly emerged monarch drying its wings with the chrysalis next to it.
Hope you enjoy

gary_sempler
Wow. Snow. Amazing what 2 inches of it can do for a otherwise dull photograph

mickey_anderson
Submitting a bit late today as I've been under the weather with the crud. So many great shots thus far. I attended a Valentine's event as a guest of my 80 year-old Mom at her church last Sunday evening and captured her with one of her best friends. That's my Mom on the left.
krisheylen
I'm a bit in a hurry so I'll check the thread later to check your work.

Mine is no more than a frame out of a test I did with tethered and timelapse shooting. It was actually nice to see an onion change into a plate of pasta :-) Didn't bother to decorate it though (too hungry).

D90 with Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 tethered to laptop.

Jeannean and
Roberta D, the butterfly photos are nothing short of beautiful, great work. purplealien
Happy Wednesday everyone! Great pictures as always. My favorites this week:
Simon J's portrait (those eyes!)
Jens's harbour
Tor's portrait of his son

I'm on leave this week, so have had lots of long dog walks with the children who are also on holiday. The snow has now gone, but there was still some lingering on the higher ground at the weekend. Here's another picture of my eldest daughter on one of our favorite walks........
