Reliable Service for an F3

<p>Can anyone recommend a reliable technician in the United States (even better in the NorthEast) for a CLA on a Nikon F3HP? </p>

<p>Try Vermont Camera Works in Pittsford, VT. They'll do an estimate on line, I think. </p>

<p>LeZot in Burlington, VT also does this work, and they sometimes have CLA special deals. Worth checking. I'd probably opt for VCW myself, having had repairs done there, but both are reputable.</p>

<p>Essex Camera repair has been reliable. I used them 3 times for repairs. After you get an estimate check the used market, it may be less expensive to replace your F3. There are plenty of good condition used Nikon film cameras on the market.</p>

<p>I'll second Matthew's recommendation of the Vermont Camera Works--Jim is great to deal with. They do great work, they are reasonably priced, and turnaround time is good, too.<br>

<p>I used KEH Repair in Atlanta when my F3 had a FRE problem. They were quick with the repair and CLA and the cost was reasonable. Much less than buying another F3 in the same condition as the one I sent in.</p>
