Good Morning Everyone, So many wonderful and evocative photos as usual; you all give me so much pleasure and inspiration. Thank you all. Favorites this week: Daniel's colorful buildings, Bill's pelican, Gej's foggy trees, and Kent's pond. Mine is a silhouette that caught my eye.

00Zjis-424453584.jpg.62ca026e092709f0559768cc54dddb12.jpg

amazing shots, everyone. here's yet another shot from the Occupy Oakland thing that's been dominating our consciousness here in Oakland. On Monday, protestors marched to the port and shut down some terminals, to protest multinational companies engaged in union-busting. this shot was taken with a d300s and 70-200 VRII.

00ZjjD-424459584.jpg.d67d0b527d74843b7267473d1d7b0c2f.jpg

Happy wednesday everyone!
Benjamin - thanks for mentioning my picture last week. Kent, love your seascape. Bill, your Pelican is fantastic.
I have a lot of trouble with my new computer right now (weird colors after calibration, no Internet-access today...).
This picture (shot today) reflects my current mood :-/

Hi Guys,
I have to confess I was getting a little worried when I saw Matt still hadn't posted around noon (GTM) completely out of the normal. Hope you're rested now!
Fab images everyone...wasn't sure what to use, So something different, Surfing. Local surfers were making the most of the Storm surge from the Storm that ravaged the UK last week.
An offshore wind made sure the spray didn't interfere with the focusing, strong late afternoon sun injected a bit of depth and warmth in the colour. Poor men and women must have been freezing in the Wintry North Sea! Was cold enough on shore! 2degC feel like -3 in the wind!
D40X (50-500mm F/4-6.3G) 500mm, F/6.3 @ 1/160s ISO 400

I recently started a new job, and was undecided about what my first major purchase would be, a new camera or a new car. Well, the car won out. This past weekend I bought a 2012 Hyundai Veloster. Of course I had to take some pictures of it to share with everyone. Guess the D7000 will have to wait a while. :-(

00ZjoH-424589584.jpg.353d88c106df1fed49b7c7cebddb5d41.jpg
