Happy Wednesday, Nikonistas. In an effort to break away from the Turkey-related leftovers this evening, it was roasted peppers out on the grill, soon to be peeled, sliced, denched in olive oil, and part of a fine Mediterranean style meal. A nice change of pace from the usual North American autumnal harvest fare. So, of course, I had to get a picture. The early evening light, fast fading, called for a wide aperture and a steady hand. Shot some food? Share

00ZfnO-420245584.jpg.f8fe15e54c8814e0aa912fe1b4a72571.jpg

Thanks to Lisa E and Chris Wick for your kind words last
week. Many fine shots last week making my favorites very difficult to select. I
felt emotionally driven by the photos from, David Janson, Doug Santo, Jose
Curiel, Michael Ferron, Rene’, Chris Court, and last but not least, Michael
Mixon as having grown up in the Santa Cruz Mountains I could all but smell the
peatmoss!

I played around with and abstract this week. D300s 35 1.8
and quite a bit of tweeking in pp.

Good Day!

00ZfnZ-420251684.jpg.622d3b1389f167bfaaab86805fe87875.jpg

Good Morning Nikonistas,
What a marvellous selection that has been posted already!
I've gone lazy...stuck on the Tigers at the moment. This guy looks like it's having a relaxing bath...

Some amazing shots already. I was invited to a birthday party on this past week-end and when I was getting ready to leave, I noticed some crazy light patterns on the glass of the front door - they were coming from Christmas lights outside the house. It was handheld with my ISO boosted to 400.

00Zfo4-420265684.jpg.38059493dbf53eb0465a3315509be3cb.jpg

Posting in WedPic after a hiatus of a month. I took this photo last Sunday at a small hill resort called Mt Abu, in Rajasthan, India. The lady seen here is a native Rajasthani woman, standing in front of her house, with her dog standing by. It was a fleeting moment, as the dog immediately turned his attention to some other activity.
