walkiria
Mac version?

How do you Keep your camera "alive" if let standing on batteries?
Can you keep the Canon cameras with charge with an ac adapter?
michaeljlawson
If we use a webcam for the trigger, do we still need a camera with LiveView? You say "Or" above, but your requirements on the webpage state "Canon DSLR (with LiveView)"
zml

ac adapter

Yes, some Canon models have a power supply included (or optional) and there is plenty of info about powering all kinds of photographic equipment from AC/DC external power on astrophotography forums.
User_6667263
Shachar, When I try to run camjuice.exe I get an error dialog with the message "Camjuice.exe has stopped working..." and the executable fails to launch. I am running Win7 Pro 64 bit with all updates installed. Any suggestions?
shachar_weis1
Bill,
you probably need the .Net 4.0 Framework.
I have a link for it on the website.

Michael,
I put LiveView in the requirements because I don't have a non-LiveView camera to test.
It may still work, you can try it.

Paloma,
The software keeps the camera from going to sleep. It will stay on as long as the battery holds. If you have an AC adapter, it will stay on forever.
michaeljlawson
Thanks for the reply Shachar, I'll give it a shot tonight if I have time with my XTi.
User_6667263
Shachar, .Net 4.0 was installed but I downloaded and installed it again then applied all of the updates again. I still have the same problem.
michaeljlawson
Ok, It works with my XTi using my webcam as a trigger, so Live View is not a requirement. You just have to make sure the camera and the camera are pointing in the same place.

I did notice that if the camera can't focus, you will get a DSLR Error, please restart. Nothing works then until the software is restarted. This would be unfortunate is something passed closer than the minimum focus distance for example, and all shots following that would be missed. Some sort of built in auto-restart under these circumstances would be nice.
User_6667263
Shachar, I tried camjuice.exe on a Win7 Starter Edition 32 bit netbook and it did run. Is it possible that there is a problem under 64 bit Win7 only?
shachar_weis1
Bill,
I'm not sure why it doesn't work on your x64 computer.
I have the same setup (Win7 Pro x64) and of course it works here.
