I recently purchased a Canon Rebel XS and decided to find a decent telephoto to compliment the kit lens. I bought this lens from Amazon and it arrived much sooner than expected. I quickly took some pictures with it the same day USPS dropped it off in my mailbox. To say the least, I am impressed. What do you think?

I also have this lens. It does pretty well, I think. Hard to beat for the price. My new 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM is a noticeable step up in light and color, but the 55-250 is the best mate for it in my two lens kit. It takes some fine photos!

I am also happy with the lens. I bought it (and the 18-55mm IS kit) when I decided there were times I did not want to carry around the 'big guns' - aka 70-200mm 2.8 IS L. I got it from Adorama as a refurb for a good price.)
My combos...
Snapshot combo = Canon 40D + 18-55 + 55-250
Serious combo = Canon 50D (gripped) + 17-50 2.8 + 70-200 2.8
I have shot my kids soccer games mainly with the 70-200, but used the 55-250 a couple of times, and was surprised there wasn't more of a difference between the shots.
