I went out one morning to catch the early sun, and not being half awake I set up my tripod and aimed my 7d a flower hoping to catch a reflection in the dew. One look through the viewfinder at the invading monster woke me up quickly.

00Z0Tm-377465584.jpg.579cb68b75ad21c1c26bee2e8afab280.jpg

Hello all, Due to some major computer problems I have been unable to view the site. :( I am very happy to be back and have enjoyed viewing todays thread. There are some really nice photos this week. Thank you all for sharing...
This image is the result of a split second encounter where a bee had flown into a flower that was already inhabbited by an ant. I was able to take this one quick shot before the small scurmish was all but over with. The focus and exposer were both way off but I am very pleased with the end result. I hope you enjoy viewing it and I look forward to being back next week.

Wonderful Photos and critiques. Glad to see folks comments.
A bit of old FL Americana that I liked.
Raining here, and my ark remains unfinished. Pool filling up faster than I can drain it and threatens to overflow.

My wife & I did three good hikes on the July 4th, 3-day weekend.
This photo is from one of them, along Mt. Tamalpais. I enjoy shooting old, weathered signs and this is one example during bright daylight on a very hot (too hot for me) day. I used a bit of wide radius USM to enhance contrast.

EOS 7D, 24mm, ISO 200, f/3.5, 1/400.

(on the first page I really love karen's 'poppy field', Lupo's food shot, and Mike's "phone break.")

00Z0jZ-377739584.jpg.845c7125ea50231a06ec3607e7154bff.jpg
