claudinho
I've made some tests..only have cheap filters and cheap MF lenses.
For MF lenses the difference in sharpness without filters is important. Even it seems now I can focus to infinity but I have to check that maybe with a picture of the moon :)
For digital Zuikos differences are less important... I will upload my tests soon.

Sanford
G2 just dropped to $330 at B&H. That's a pretty nice camera for that price.
akira
I haven't used any protection filter on my 20/1.7 for a year or so. I've found the lens extremely flare-free without the filter.
johnfarrar
Agree with Akira, the 20/1.7 needs no filter - I keep a lens hood on for physical protection as well as flare. No filters on the adapted lenses I use either, but all have hoods. The only filters that get used are ND or ND grad or soft. The real problem is the 14-42 kit lens for the EP1, which has a rotating front and so stuffs ND grads, and has such a weak motor the focusing is hopeless with any filter (or hood) on it.

Sanford
Thought I caught you Patrick posting the same photo to two forums but now I see you were carrying two systems around at the same time. Watch out, that will make you schizoid. Oly and Nikon certainly see different colors.
porter
Haha! I see I'm not the only one who has endured the multi brand malady. I find my nikons aps-c sensor to be quite fantastic, but having started my digital shooting with Olympus it is so hard to make a complete switch. Olympus colours are just 'right' to me now, so much so that I try to replicate the pallette in post. Although today it was the other way around (there's a first for everything :P )
