A good Nikon Wednesday to everyone. In pursuit of some pastoral splendor, I spent Sunday shooting at the Potomac Hunt Races here in Maryland. Lots of large expensive hats, people in red wool jackets, and some very crazy riders on fired-up horses vying for winnings in the steeplechase. Two officials with the Hunt are seen here, enjoying a bit of shade between races. Had your Nikon gear out to shoot something that might have taken place a hundred years ago, and not look a bit different? Share a photo!

00YkQG-359675584.jpg.b23f58ca2b0dbe815ea8cae97518e792.jpg

Green Heron Chick. Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Delray, Florida. Early in the morning, he's hiding down in the greenery. The regulars had been watching the nest for a while and pointed out this little fellow. This is with a 300mm f/4 from only a few feet away. The first week in April, Shark Valley was surprisingly empty of birds, but we saw lots at Wakodahatchee.

Happy Wednesday to all...Here is my favorite subject to shoot~ my 9 year old, Eleanor. She climb our tree, in between rain showers, for me to get some shots of her in it before all the petals fell from the weight of the water.

00YkQd-359679684.jpg.8c53db8b3e27ad5e2cba10c01e6baeb9.jpg

We had a big storm come towards us early last week and I got off a couple of pics before the big rains came. I used my Nikon D90, and my 50mm
Nothing came of the storm directly in our area.
phil b
benton,ky

00YkRc-359701584.jpg.f72fc502676e669d3630acca27400b93.jpg
