Lots of large expensive hats, people in red wool jackets, and some very crazy riders on fired-up horses vying for winnings in the steeplechase. Two officials with the Hunt are seen here, enjoying a bit of shade between races. Had your Nikon gear out to shoot something that might have taken place a hundred years ago, and not look a bit different? sebastianmoran
Green Heron Chick. Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Delray, Florida. Early in the morning, he's hiding down in the greenery. The regulars had been watching the nest for a while and pointed out this little fellow. This is with a 300mm f/4 from only a few feet away. The first week in April, Shark Valley was surprisingly empty of birds, but we saw lots at Wakodahatchee.

Green Heron Chick.
