flatulent1
I just received a gorgeous Contax RX with a loose internal diopter. I spoke by phone with one of the local camera repairmen, and he told me up front he hadn't heard of the RX. So I'm just a little nervous about taking it to them. I have one other local repair option; after that, it's wide open. Sending the camera back to the seller will be my final option, I have six days remaining before I need to hit the SEND button. Who in the USA repairs Contax?
tomscott
I would send an email to Garry Airepetov at Garry's Camera Repair, garryscamera@yahoo.com
He has cla'd and repaired several different brands for me and I have been quite happy with his work and his prices.
Matthew Currie
I'm guessing that Vermont Camera Works could fix it. You can email to ask and get an estimate.

http://vermontcamera.com/

chuck_foreman1
There was an official Contax repair in NJ (Paramus). What does "official mean now?!? Probably closed now Contax Division of Kyocera Optics Inc. 2301-200 Cottontail Ln. Somerset, NJ 08873 (800) 526-0266 (732) 560-0060 www.contaxcameras.com Probably out-dated. There's a good camera/"electronics" repair in the Wash. DC area SPTS (Strauss Photo Technical Service) http://www.spts.com/ What impressed me the most was their breadth. They had technicians fixing all kinds of electro/mechanical devices and their "affiliation/certification" was very broad Nikon/Miniolta/Technics etc
