DawsonPointers
A sure sign of spring around here is that the ice shacks have to be off the lake by March 31. Don't worry about the trucks falling through the ice. It was -18C and the ice is over 1m (3ft) thick.
This was taken through my kitchen window in mid afternoon. These shacks are more than 3.2km away (2mi). I used a Kenko 1.5x tele-extender on a 70-300 @300. If my arithmetic is right, that gives a 35mm equivalent of 675mm! Hand held!

jeannean_.
Wonderful photos! Thanks to those for the comments on my spider last week. :) This week's shot is a wild parakeet I surprised during my Sunday morning walk. It "froze" when it saw me, and I thought it was fake at first. I slowly moved my lens into position and got off a couple of shots. We have flocks flying over all the time, but have never seen one up close until Sunday. vince-p
Hi all. Wonderful work as usual. This is the Memorial to the Union Dead located on Riverside Drive in New York City. Taken with my old FM2, with the inimitable Ai Nikkor 50mm f/2; film was Tri-X at IE 400, processed in Xtol 1:1 laced with Rodinal 1:100.

don_harper_the_edge
This Swan photo was taken with the Nikon D3 and 70-200mm lens.
Just finished a project and than went to the Hagerstown City Park in Maryland. It's one of those few town parks that reminds you of a Norman Rockwell world. A springfed series of lakes full of ducks, geese and swans plus lots of carp. Water is very clear from spring despite the amount of wildlife.
birdied
Hi everyone, great shots so far today!!
My shot was not really planned. I was out laying in the grass once again, looking for some dew drops when I noticed this very tiny spider strand between blades of grass. This little spider was sitting next to the dew drop. Unfortunatley, there was no way to get a flower behind the drop. Hope you enjoy.

D300 60mm micor with extension tubes
