Happy wednesday to everyone!
Lovely photos again. Some of my favs are taken by Jana Hughes, Tom Howd, Robert Wayt & John Rowsell.
My pic is from Arabian Nights Party held last Saturday in Aberdeen. I wanted to take long exposure photos with flash of the dancers there.

My contribution this week is a Florida Panther
Not to be confused with a Florida Cougar
Panthers are an endangered species and not as aggressive as Cougars
Although the Panther was in heat at the time of the shot
Might just as well laugh the jokes don't get any better
I posted this in a previous thread but I figure that it didn't get the exposure of this one
Happy Wednesday

00YJlU-336523584.jpg.e4d8e4edf4ff404f990ba6d22748afe3.jpg

Kind of got "volunteered" to document a friend's 50th birthday party. Part of the celebration was a "roast" where we got up and shared stories, a/k/a playing the dozens with no reply allowed. This gent was particularly animated and the crowd was getting into the act with an occasional "Amen!" from the group.
D700@ ISO 1600, Nikkor 24-85 @ 85mm, f/8 for 1/60th and SB-600, slight crop in LR-3

00YJlv-336531584.jpg.b1c658beb0e9ad5297f1edccb448db51.jpg

Some really great images posted thus far. In keeping with Matts sunny theme and noticing how the days are getting longer as spring approaches, here's a sunny shot of a famous tail water that borders our property. The ice is dissipating and trout season opens in 29 days.

00YJmV-336545784.jpg.39e45b1435e313d789fa1e9432f2ec42.jpg

Good Morning from the East Coast Nikonites!
It is Wednesday again and very close to the long-awaited-SPRING season. Beautiful captures you got this week. Here is my contribution from last week. I took it when I got stuck on traffic on one of the major local roads on my way home last Thrusday - glad I had my beast with me.

Shot with D300s with Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 @ 24mm f/4 1/30th sec ISO100 Aperture priority [no flash] using my car door window to reduce camera shake up.

Please enjoy,

00YJmX-336545884.jpg.0e1f464be6c70b78b8ba2206fc58c1d6.jpg

A single strand from a Golden Spider's web captured this leaf on its journey to the ground.

Fantastic shots as always. Caillum Smith, I love the shot of Lake Okanagan. Makes me miss driving to the west coast. I love the opportunities I get as a long-haul truck driver to bring my camera to parts of this beautiful country that I would probably never see otherwise.
I didn't get a chance to get out this week but here's a shot from Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia that I took on Canada Day last year while on a run out east.

00YJnp-336565784.jpg.49b37251dddd5429ea7ab829d2b62de8.jpg

Took this image last week at Smoky Mountain National Park on a road called the "Dragon's Tail" that's quite popular with motor cyclists.
The road is unusual for the number of tight curves but it doesn't have a lot of exposure that I expect on a road this convoluted.
Also there are a lot of small pull-offs along the road.
Taken with Nikon D3, 70-200mm lens at 135mm and f5 at ISO 800

00YJoB-336567584.jpg.1a2a0259a64748ff602de9402db94568.jpg
