I used my Buddy for this weeks shot. I was trying out a 2 light shot and used 1 sb-600 and 1 sb-900 triggering them with my new transmitter and receivers from Paul Buff (AlienBees). I shot this from another room and didn't have a line of sight. I used my D90 on manual, Sigma 70-200 @ 200m, f5.6, 1/100, iso 200, 2 flash and hand held.
I really liked using the new triggers and want to Thank all who helped me in making my selection.

I had a version of this picture where I used LR3's graduated filter doohickey and got better definition in the clouds, straightened it out a bit… and just got too lazy to upload it. Otherwise this photo is just a gentle reminder of how foggy this town gets. I shot it last week, and got pretty lucky. Without the constant rain, the sunsets have been fantastic.

I was out riding again this weekend, Saturday afternoon, looking for something to photograph. I saw this image last week but didn't have time to stop, plus it was cold as blue blazes. I went back and to my surprise, the moon was coming up and I took advantage of it. Image was taken with Nikon D200 and a Nikon 18-70mm lens at f11 @ 1/25 second ISO 100.

00Y3bu-322727584.jpg.80cf39ee7fba672c389c6d27d1bbba97.jpg

Here's a pic I took of foggy moody Venice last Sunday, with a D60 and the 35mm f/1.8 AF-S DX. I was trying to get more isolation of the bridge than even the fog would provide, so I opened the aperture up to f/2.5. From the resolution grahs, there is already lots of resolution and contrast there, so no need to close it further. Maybe it had too much DoF, though.

00Y3cQ-322735584.jpg.c1383adeb506f0e956e95df269a521ea.jpg

Happy Wednesday! So many beautiful photos. Mine was taken early yesterday morning while walking around in the fog looking for bugs. I spotted this dandelion covered in dew drops and was only able to get off one shot before a small shift in the air caused it to drop. Reminder how delicate nature is sometimes. D90/60mm Tamron@1/200, f/8, ISO 200.
