karissa_walker
As ever, I'm having fun looking at what everyone is putting up today. At the moment I'm enjoying shooting with my new camera but couldn't resist playing around with some of the features.

wayne_wrights
I took this image with my Nikon D300 and Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 lens. This fella gotta a bit too close for comfort. I had to resort to hide behind my truck.

purplealien
I had the good fortune to spend new years eve on board a boat in Sydney Harbour. The fireworks were fantastic, but I had to hand hold the camera. This is my favorite picture; despite the wobbles...

miguel_martinez4
Here's a pic I took with the 10-24 at my father's village a couple of days ago. The sky was really inspiring, and it's a shame I didn't leave home for this walk a bit earlier. Taken as always with a D60.

I would try maybe using NX2's lasso tool to sharpen up the foreground only.

munim
Pink-necked Green Pigeon. This bird is quite tame. I managed to get to almost 15 feet to it before it flew away, but still couldn't get a uncluttered shot. Likes to hide between branches and leaves. greg_kowalczewski
WedNEsDAy PiC 2011 #01

My photo is a view of the Melbourne New Year fireworks display shot from the strand along the Williamstown waterfront. The city of Melbourne can be seen on the far right. This shot may create the impression that the fireworks are close to the ship, but they are literally a few miles away. The grey haze is the accumulation of fireworks smoke.

Camera: Nikon D300
Lens: AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200 mm f/2.8G ED VR II
Settings: 150 mm, 1/25 sec, f/2.8 and ISO 2800 (Manual, hand held, UV filter)
