<p>Don't leave out the possibility of local thrift stores, consignment auctions and garage sales. A little imagination and a few hours of just looking around can produce some very unique props and vintage clothing.</p>

<p>I second the thrift stores. About 1/10 the cost of a shop that sells studio props.</p>

I love my local antique mall. Target and hobby lobby also have some great things. I get ideas for shoots just by shopping.

they all sell mannekin type stuff and other items used in retail stores. Ask for 2nds, damaged stuff they may be trying to dump.</p>
