Hi - I'm a keen amateur photographer, mostly of landscapes (www.flickr.com/stevelavelle).
I'm in Krabi 1st to 5th April next year and am trying to find a guide who can get me to the best locations for sunrise/sunset shots. Any contacts ?
Thanks !

I have not been to Krabi but I have been to Phuket and Koh Samui among other places in Thailand. I can tell you that you can easily find a local tour agency with English speaking staff and they should be able to help you with your request. You can probably bargain for a good price for a guide and transportation. You can do an online search for the agency but if it were me I would get there first and search by foot.

Krabi is a small place and very touristy, so you literally will have no problem finding someone to show you around, even take you with the boat to Princess Lagoon (I don't remember the local name) nearby. Just make sure you bargain properly and have full agreement as to what the deal includes. Also, bear in mind that you ARE risking the chance a VERY cheap guide will NOT show up on a subsequent day if he thinks it's not worth it or cannot be bothered (it has happened to friends of mine)....

As with all things you get what you pay for....
