POW 10-31-10

<p>8:40am Central Time USA and no POW thread yet? Okay, I'll start it.</p>

<p>I spent yesterday wandering the autumn countryside looking for decay and dilapidation. Here are a few examples.</p>

<p>UFO was here on friday. Since I grew up with their music as a teenager in the -70:s I had to go and listen to them at the newly opened Merry Can here in Örnsköldsvik (Sweden)...I stood on the second row so I had to raise my arm to be able to take any picture...</p><div></div>

<p>Sigma couldn't repair my older 28mm/1.8, despite being under warantee, so they sent me a repaired 105mm macro. Not a lens I thought I needed, but very nice. At some point I will have to compare to my Bokina.</p><div></div>

<p>Handheld macro is a trick for me, and this was a really windy day, so more noise than I would have wanted.</p><div></div>

<p>Still, looks like the lens is another keeper.</p><div></div>

<p>Some more from Luxor, Egypt. The day I took a boat trip on the Nile, it was animal washing day. Firstly water buffalo washing.</p>

<p>Went for a local forest hike with the goal of testing a newly acquired DA Ltd. 15mm lens, but the many fungi captured my use of the FA 50mm macro for some closeups. This was my favorite image:</p>

<p>Finally I did get in some fun with the DA 15mm. Way too early for serious judgment, but the color rendition is very intense. I do wish it was a little wider, but I'll take the weight and size of this lens as is.</p>
