"helpful" ratings

<p>Ray, there is has been a recent change to the just announced system and you will only be able to vote for helpful comments (no negative votes). I think the scale is simply endless within the approx/ six-month time-frame. So, your rating will go up one for one with each person who votes your comment as helpful. <p>There is no "Originality" or "Aesthetics" in the current ratings, so the link that Peter provided is obsolete.</p>

<p>Basically the ratings are from 1 to 7, 1 is bad, 7 is best.</p>

<p>Ray, your critiques tend to be succinct and personalized for each photograph with specific helpful notes regarding what works and what doesn't. Try adding a few more generic comments such as "Great capture!", "Well seen!" and "Congrats!" and your + rating will go up.</p>

<p>Semi-seriously, the new system for indicating whether members find a critique helpful is so new the existing -/+ indicator isn't statistically significant yet. Wait awhile until folks use the option more often and yours should be well into the + range.</p>

<p>Reminds me, I need to write more succinct critiques like yours. Takes me three paragraphs to say what you summarize in a single sentence.</p>

<p>I have received a + voting for helpfulness, but is there a way that I can find out from who? It would be nice to know which comment was helpful, as I sometimes comment on various photos per day.</p>
