Has anyone heard of "photocity" LA?

<p>I live in Sweden and recently there popped up a website claiming to be a subsidiary of "PhotoCity" located in Los Angeles, CA.<br>

They have advertized some prices that seem very low (and others not quite that low).<br>

The problem is that I can not verify the existance of their so called parent company. Most larger sellers work out of NYC so LA seems a bit off in that respect.<br>

They do post an EIN number on their website but I do not no where to go to verify that either.<br>

The number they have is 27-1961860.<br>

What I do expect is that the EIN number is bogus and that all these guys try to do is cash in on prepayments and then run for it.<br>

I would be happy to be proven wrong though.<br>

Any information will be greatly apreciated.</p>

 

<p>Nothing turns up in google, and there is no record of such a store in resellerratings.com. I would NOT give this business your credit card. If a deal looks and feels too good to be true... it probably is.</p>

<p>That is a very obvious clue that it is not legitimite.</p>

<p>And I would expect that a US company that is successful enough to set up shop overseas would also be quite visible in the US. (Googlewise at least).<br>

It would be fun though to find out if that EIN is real or completely fake.</p>

<p>I've lived in Los Angeles a long time and I've never heard of it.</p>

<p>The 27 prefix means "internet" not Los Angeles, based on the link provided.</p>

<p>The only PhotoCity, in the US, I can find is a lab.</p>
