pvg photography
Greetings to all my fellow Nikonians! This weeks photo was taken about three weeks ago, while chasing butterflies at my local arboretum. Yesterday I was back there again, but it is so hot here in the north east, that I had to retreat back into the coolness of my office, before I melted away to nothing. :-)

kobye
Wow...what a crazy looking critter. Believe this is an assassin bug nymph. Had to struggle to hold a leaf behind it so background wouldn't go dark while holding a heavy camera in my other hand...sometimes would be nice to have 3 or maybe 4 arms.

peterafle
It's been quite a while since I've been able to post anything here -- but I've been lurking and admiring the always extraordinary offerings! The inspiration I gather here never fails to help get me through the rest of the week...
Favorites so far include Jeannean's damsels, Daniel's blacksmith, BM's Parisian sky (wow!), David J's froggy portrait, and Keith and Roberta's buggy macros -- but everyone's shots are special and marvelous as always.
With the U.S. Labor Day holiday and cookouts galore coming up this weekend, here's a shot from a friend's party a couple of weeks ago. This guacamole burger tasted every bit as good as it looked... :-)

photo5
Last weekend at a car show I found this beauty. A 1936 Oldsmobile Six. In 1942 my father was 19 years old when he bought his first car, which was a 1936 Oldsmobile Six, just like this one. He had saved his money all summer for it while working for his Dad, who was a new home builder. This particular car was seen at the LeMay 33rd Annual Open House in Parkland, WA. It is in original unrestored condition.

pieter_nel1
Although I have been following the posts I haven't been posting lately due to commitments. However, seeing as today is officialy Spring in the Southern hemisphere I grabbed my camera during a break in a meeting and took this shot of a Strelitzia outside my office. As usual there are some stunning photos already.
Nikon D80, 18-200 F13 1/200
