Value of camera + accessories

<p>Joined photo.net today & have the following question:<br>

I was just given a Leicaflex (Standard from '64-'68) and have no idea of the value. 4 lenses were included all with filters (Summicron f2/50, Elmarit f2.8/35 & f2.8/135 along with Super Angulon f3.4/21). Also have the flash unit. All equipment looks to be in good condition. I probably would not use the camera but consider either keeping as part of a collection or selling it. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Unfortunately it isn't the SL model. Thanks.</p>

<p>Look the components up on eBay completed auctions to get an idea of what this equipment is worth today. Values are changing constantly. Condition is everything. Fungus in the camera or lenses could render everything all but worthless. Are the lens surfaces scratch free? If not, that will diminish the value according to severity. There are just too many variables for one to give you an accurate estimate without examining what you have.</p>

<p>Probably the lenses are 1 cam, which is what was used with the Standard. That also makes them less valuable.</p>

<p>With adapters from Fotodiox, the one cam Leicaflex lenses would be fantastic on Canon or Olympus DSLR. The other alternative would be to have the lenses converted to Nikon AIS or Pentax A mounts through an outfit called Leitax. To convert one cam Leicaflex to 2 cam, 3 cam or Rom would be costly, that's why I mention the above options.</p>

<p>Thanks for your responses. Haven't seen any fungus, lenses are one cam and appear to be scratch free. Looking throught the viewfinder I can see "stuff" that could be dust on the mirror but I don't believe they are scratches. Everything looks well cared for. Thanks again for your replies.</p>
