Nikon Wednesday Pic 2010: #32

<p>Dieter Schaeffer's bubble and Tiffany Brook's portrait really caught my eye this week</p>

Fantastic group of images as always; my submission this week is yet another bug, I'm determined to get the hang of this. Shot with a 105mm micro 2.8 and a 20mm extension tube<div></div>

<p>Here is a group of Dominican brothers lead by a Dominican priest on a pilgrimage from St. Rose Catholic Church in New Lexington, to St. Patrick's in Junction City a couple miles north of my farm, with a final stop at St. Joseph's Church in Somerset, the oldest Catholic church in Ohio. It ended up about 92 deg F that day.</p>

<p>I emailed this photo to our local weekly newspaper and actually had it published. Does this count as Street Photography?</p><div></div>

<p>From the camping trip a week ago.</p><div></div>

<p>Okay, took a few weeks off from the Wednesday posts, come back and it's as awesome as ever. Some of the ones that stuck out to me are:<br>

Tiffany Brook - awesome eyes on that baby!<br>

Matthew Brennan - Great color and reflection in the previously dry landscape.<br>

Dave Wilson - flip that photo over, scale it up, and sell it as a previously "unknown" Monet, great capture!<br>

Alexander Kleppesto - great lighting on the hands, gives something we see everyday real interest.<br>

Elliot Bernstein - great colors, perfect springtime type photo.<br>

Eric Blair - great door photo, I envy people with good looking doors close at hand.<br>

P Watson - great landscape, go back and nail the highlights and sell it for lots, I never find the right landscape to line up with the right sunset or sunrise.<br>

William Pahnolus - congrats on catching the hummer!<br>

Mark Cooper - Oh that's awesome I went to school at a St. Rose, run by Dominican sisters. Congrats on getting published!</p>

<p>My shot for the week, meant to be a test shot for a flash setup prior to doing some light painting, but instead I caught my friends sneaking a quick kiss in the dark.</p><div></div>

<p>Great pictures everyone. I think I am still under the wire to make this a Wednesday post.</p>

<p> Found this little guy last week . The orange section in his body actually looks fluorescent and almost glows in the dark. Hey, whatever it takes to attack prey, right.This guy/gal is very tiny less than 1/4'' .</p><div></div>

<p>Markku and Steven thank you very much for mentioning my image, I enjoyed yours also and certainly look forward to seeing more in the future weeks. Now I have to reluctantly go to sleep and wait for the ghosts of Monet past, present and future.... 8-) </p>

Shun- The heck w/ the minor blur, I love the blur of the bubble stream.<br>

Aquinaldo- the colors really do look wonderful<br>

Andre- That has got to be the creepiest depiction of "marriage" that I have ever seen.<br>

Hamish- Great lightening shot. That must have been fun to watch.<br>

Roberta- good job on capturing the details on such a small creature.</p>
