Has anyone used Bridalnegotiator.com? Does anyone know if they are still in business?
I understand they are a budget wedding service and use a bidding process to book weddings. Due to my current situation and experience shooting weddings I think this is a good service to book weddings for someone looking to gain experience first and worry about making a huge profit second. So, if you have any experience with or information on bridalnegotiator.com please share.

Really? This is your first post since joining in 2008? And you're actually asking if they're still in business instead of just going to the web site you're listing and looking at it?

My forum spam detector is going off, here.

What difference does it make when I joined or how many times I have posted. I did go to their website and sent several emails that have not been returned. I even did additional searches and called a phone number but it was not in service. I thought this would be a good forum to ask if anyone has had experience with them. This is my first post in the wedding forum...I have posted several times in the Canon forum. If you don't want to provide some useful information then put your head down and take a nap.

Actually, the problem is that some long-dormant accounts manage to get hijacked, and used to post threads that are simply used to boost search-engine rankings for other web sites. Most of those read exactly like your post - with the hot link to the site, and the oddly phrased "what do you think" question that included your own endorsement of them. That, along with this thread being the only recent posts on your account, is what set off the alarm bells. For better or worse, I asked if you were real, rather than pulling the mark-as-spam trigger right away (which can happen many times a day, to the consternation of this site's moderators). So, sorry for the false positive. This is one of the reasons that people so often mention that they're not related to web sites they're linking PN visitors to in such threads.

Incidentally, if you do a WHOIS look-up on the domain name for that site, the ownership info for the domain is being deliberately hidden through Register.com's anonymizing service overseas in Portugal. Most legit businesses aren't quite that purposefully coy about who actually owns and runs the web site and the business - another flag that raised my eyebrows when you dropped their name in a subject line, but which probably should make you at least a little cautious about them as a business partner. With no physical address, published e-mail address on their site - it's a little dicey. One hint about them, though: their terms and conditions page indicates that any lawsuits over their services will be handled in Allegheny County, PA - so that should indicate at least in which time zone their staff probably operates.

Your initial post activated my spam detector as well......if you're looking for people to post to your questions and give you the benefit of their experience, I would suggest that you do so with "your hat in your hand" and not get snippy.

I believe my hat was in my hand when I asked for legitimate responses from people who have had experience with bridalnegotiator. There was nothing snippy in my original post. I appreciate any helpful responses but what I don't appreciate are people who make it a full time job to play mall cop on this or any forum. I pride myself on finding answers to my own questions by constantly reading photography books and blogs. When I have a question I can't find an answer to then I ask. I love photography and I love talking to people who love photography so please, if you have nothing to contribute regarding bridalnegotiator then move on to your next victim.

I can't even list the number of things I dislike about that site, their business model, the design, that they are offering wedding albums and an online gallery, most of the photographers listed look like hobbyists at best, plus they own the copyright? As best I can tell they are like a low price, low class Bella photography, and I would stay far, far away. At worst they are a complete scam-I'm very nervous about the fact that they take bride's CC #'s upfront.
Upon further inspection, they also have the same address in Madiera as FirstAmericaCredit.com, which looks like a scam, vnexpress.com, which is a shell site with just links, a fake site to download Internet explorer and tons of other shady operations.

@ A. Davis. Thanks for the information. I agree that the photography shown does look amateur at best. I have been fortunate enough to do a few weddings of people who would not have hired a photographer if I didn't offer my services. I am realistic about my abilities which is why I am considering this site. I hope to gain experience for a small fee but I don't have time to do my own marketing. Unfortunately, the only information you can get about the photographers is a first name so I can't contact them and ask "hey, is bridalnegotiator a scam?". If bridalnegotiator is a scam then I will look into Bella.
Thanks for your input.

That seems suspicious to me. My advice would be to avoid them.
