Website critique

I am in the process of putting together a Zenfolio site. I removed all Zenfolio branding but anyone familiar with Zenfolio will recognize it anyway. Does this automatically say "amateur"?
Here is the site- www.tzvihphotography.net. The Galleries have not been organized yet per se. My request for criticism is primarily on the layout and the photos themselves.

Thank you.

Layout is generally simple and okay. Too many pictures of kids with big eyes. Need some variety in the kid shots. Jewelry shots are way, way too contrasty. I would not hire you to photograph my rings (if I had any).

Les-
Big eyes happen to be something I always liked but I see your point.

Regarding the jewelry shots, I understand a lot of people like the low-contrast all-white light tent look, I was just going for something different. (maybe a bit unsuccessfully).

Thanks for the feedback.

Site seems fine to me - good start anyway.

Most people who enjoy big-eye-kid-photos are people who have kids and like kids. I don't, so photos like that creep me the **** out. But if kid people are your clients (baby photos etc) then they are fine and appropriate.

As far as the jewelry, same thing goes. If you intend to get into the jewelry photo business, you've got to appeal to the target market. So in addition to the high contrast stuff, make sure you put up more traditional jewelry photos.

Finally, add more photos!!! The more you take / upload, the less 'OK' photos you have to show online, and the more 'Excellent' photos you can display.

site works well for me.
To answer your first question, no I don't get an instant feeling of "amateur".
I'd personally prefer it if the teal header that appears in the galleries was uniform throughout, and appeared on your homepage as well, but that's just personal preference.
Also, your "about" page appears as a blank teal box, you should fill this in ASAP so that people can read a bit about you and feel more comfortable contacting you.
I don't know if this was intentional, just to show the layout, but I'd make sure the client zone was secure. I know I wouldn't want images of my kids floating around on the net, simply because they're MY kids, you know? I'm referring to the "<bdo dir="ltr"></bdo>Gavi" gallery, which is clearly open to the public.
