Brownie NO. 2 model f info needed

Recommended Posts

I have recently came across a NO. 2 Brownie (model F) Kodak camera complete with brown canvas case and I was wondering if these models are rare or are they still quite common place. I am not really interested in selling I was just wanting to know a bit more about it as it looks a very interesting object.

They're pretty commonplace, and I have a couple, one of them the Portrait version, which has a supplementary lens on a spring-loaded lever that is pushed into place behind the meniscus. These are nice little cameras to use, because they take 120 film instead of Kodak's proprietary 620, and can therefore be loaded straight from the shop shelf, without any of this re-spooling nonsense. Shutter speed on both of mine is about 1/50th (measured). The apertures are f/16, f/22, and f/32. Pictures taken can be surprisingly pleasing, and I'd take a Brownie No.2 over a Holga any day.
